How does it taste? Does it taste like meat?

The short answer is: It tastes really good!

Throughout the product development, we have tasted, adjusted, tasted, adjusted… so many times that we have lost count. The taste is close to minced beef. The taste is so similar that Naturli' plant-based meat can be used in all dishes where you would normally use minced beef like lasagna, hamburgers, chili sin carne and spaghetti bolognese. You should try it out!

Packaging made of plastic - why not use a more eco-friendly material?

We are constantly on the look for more eco-friendly packaging, but several factors have to be considered. The packaging has to be suitable for the food, and it has to be affordable for the customers. For Naturli' plant-based meat, we use 50% recycled plastic, and on the back, we explain how to dispose the packaging in a responsible way. This is a step towards more sustainable packaging.

Why haven’t you considered your customers with allergies and celiacs?

At Naturli’, our primary goal is to make tasty plant-based products, and where it is possible, we avoid allergens. Unfortunately, this isn’t always possible. Soy and wheat gluten is especially suitable to make the meat-like structure, which we have in our new product Naturli' plant-based meat.

Does your soy contain GMO?

Naturli’ has a clear opinion on using commodities of high quality. Our soy is produced without GMO. This is guaranteed by buying the commodities from farmers who are cultivating without GMO.

Why do you call it meat, when it isn’t meat?

We have named the new product Minced because it’s minced, and to clearly show the consumers that the product can be used in all dishes where minced beef is usually used.

The product can be used for a great variety of dishes, as you can spice it to your taste and pleasure. Our focus is on the use of the product. We don’t quite understand why animals should have a monopoly on the definition of meat. From our perspective, the definition of meat is more about the texture.

Can it be frozen?

Yes, Naturli' plant-based meat, can easily be frozen. We recommend that you let frozen Naturli' plant-based meat, thaw in the fridge before using it, to maintain the unique texture.

How do you cook Naturli' plant-based meat

Even though Naturli' plant-based meat, is similar to minced beef, it has to be prepared a bit differently – for example you don’t have to worry about it not being cooked long enough like regular meat. Naturli’ plant-based meat could even be eaten raw – but we recommend you fry it. On the back of the package you can read how, but we also give you a few instructions here, so you can start preparing your 100% plant-based favorites.

Like regular meat, Naturli’ plant-based Minced and Patties taste even better after developing a nice crust – therefor you have to fry it at a medium high heat for the first couple of minutes. When using Minced in lasagnas and Bolognese, simply fry it of at medium heat before adding your sauce – just like you would do with regular meat!

Bon appetite!
